The movement of a garment is quite crucial for the feeling I get while wearing it. A flow-y breeze through soft layers of chiffon can make you feel light, elegant and glamorous – all at the same time. When I catch my own reflection in a window it makes me smile and keep my head up high, it’s so easy to own a look like that. My other styles can get quite busy: a few layers, bold accessories and so on – for this one, you only need a long maxi dress (everything else is optional). I dressed it down with sporty satin Supergas and a muted silk blouse by Helmut Lang.
I know I say this quite often, but this is my favorite look we’ve shot so far. It just felt amazing and I can’t wait to wear it again.
Die Bewegung eines Kleidungsstücks ist für mich entscheidend für das Fragegefühl. Ein sanftes Lüftchen durch Chiffon-Lagen lässt dich eine gewisse Leichtigkeit und Eleganz spüren. Wenn ich an einem solchen Tag meine eigene Spiegelung in einem Fenster erhasche, muss ich lächeln. Das Tragen eines solchen Kleides beschenkt mich mit einer gewissen Instant-Grazie, die ich sonst in meiner Haltung oft vermisse. Meine sonstigen Styles sind manchmal recht „laut“: Ausgefallene Accessoires und Farbkombinationen – hier braucht es aber nicht viel: Nur das Kleid, alles andere ist optional. Ich habe mit den sportlichen Supergas aus Satin typisches „Down dressing“ betrieben und die Helmut Lang Seidenbluse in gedecktem Taupe spendet etwas mehr Stoff bei den wechselnden Wetterverhältnissen in London.
