Today I am finally showing you my August Bullet Journal Setup, with many detailed photos and a brand new plan with me video. I included also some other great cover ideas for August, but you can always change them up for any other month of the year. On top of that you can download the cover illustration from my journal as a free printable and just skip doing your own coverpage. Enjoy!

My art supplies, that I used for this setup:
Main colour for my theme: Tom Bow Dual Brush Pen 837
Coverpage August Setup & Monthly Log
I wanted t do something bold and very artsy for the new month. I started with an intense art block and tried so many different themes in my test journal and in the very end, I ended up with the first sketch, that I did that day. I used another, slightly thicker paper for this one and glued it on top of the thin Leuchtturm paper. I am usually not super phased by the ghosting of watercolours, but I know a lot of you are. The paper I used for this is not super thick, so your journal doesn’t get bulkier. Be picky (or mindful) about the paper, texture and thickness!
You can download this cover illustration for free here and print it out for your own journal.
Habit tracker & Zero Waste Sticker
I also incorporated my favourite spread of all times: a habit tracker with tiny icons! This is super easy to draw and it’s very motivating throughout the whole month. I also painted an abstract, colourful DIY sticker and I talk more about those in my most recent video on my channel (and also some zero waste ideas to create those handydandy stickers).
Alternate cover ideas for August (or any other month)
I often get asked for more theme ideas on Instagram, so I figured my process of coming up with the right theme is a good thing to share alongside this setup. As you can see I was really into abstract shapes and watercolours his month – and you can use these ideas for any other month to come. Which one is your favourite?
